It is more important for cats to eat fresh, raw meat than even dogs. Cats are obligate carnivores, meaning they must eat meat to get all the nutrients their bodies require. They hunt for fresh meat, which is one reason they are so finicky. They do not want day-old meat; they want it at body temperature, with the blood still flowing.

Feeding them highly processed kibble or even canned food filled with starches, carbohydrates, and fillers leads to Type II diabetes, obesity, inflammatory bowel disease, bladder and kidney problems, and all kinds of other metabolic derangements.
