I am launching my new website, that tells you everything about me and all the different ways you can follow me and even get advice for your very own four-footed friend. I usually stick with dogs and cats only.
Look around, explore and if you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.
I can provide second opinions on cases, look over diagnostic test results, suggest further tests and possible treatments.
Here are my top 4 things to improve the health and well-being of your dog or cat:
Step #1: Nutrition
I am big on nutrition and feeding species-specific diets. There are many good options available from DIY to commercial diets.
My favorite pet food list is right HERE on Substack:
Step #2: Discontinuing Toxins that are Harmful
Many of the flea and tick preventatives are extremely toxic, especially the isoxozalozines: Bravecto, Nexgard, Simparica.
If your pet is on a good diet, they often do not need the strong preventatives.
Many newer drugs and treatments, like monoclonal antibodies, have some pretty nasty side effects, including autoimmune reactions, cancer and death. Just like vaccine injuries, it is difficult to prove absolute cause and effect so the companies keep right on selling the stuff. And vets keep right on injecting it.
It sounds like some other injection we all know about.
Most of our pets are highly over-vaccinated, putting them at risk of dys-regulated immune systems. Ask your vet to do titers instead and if you have to get rabies, ask for a 3 year rabies. It is no “stronger” than the 1 year vaccine; it just happens to be labeled for 3 years.
Step #3: Exercise, fresh air, sunshine, paws on the earth.
There are many city pets that rarely get outside to run around on actual soil instead of pavement and cement.
Did you know that some natural rearing beeders are exposing young puppies to good healthy soil so they develop good immune systems and microbiomes?
And while you are walking your dog, take you own shoes off and expose your feet to Mother Earth’s skin - the soil.
Step #4: Prevention is the key to health!
Look for natural alternatives to help your pet stay healthy.
I always say, “prevention is the cure for cancer”.
I am trained in western science, biology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology and medicine. I practice Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM).
TCVM has a map of the underlying energetic forces that create the living world around us called the 5 Elements. By understanding the interrelationship between the elements and how they link the body to the outer world: foods, the seasons, climate, temperature, organ systems, even emotions, we can utilize them to bring the body back into a state of balance within and balance without.
If our internal state is balanced, that will flow out and reflect in the outer world. And we need as much of that as we can get these days!
If any of this sounds interesting to you, follow me here. I will be having some special information and teachings coming through for paid subscribers.
If you have a pet at home that is not doing as well as they should be, check out the offerings on my website. My schedule fills up fast so plan on at least a few week wait for a consult.
So happy to see more and more veterinarians going down the holistic route. I have seen a decline in the veterinary profession of well qualified and properly trained doctors. The kids coming out of veterinary school now are pharmaceutical based, are not taught intuitive medicine and rely too heavily on tests and technology. I’ve always said good veterinary medicine is more of an art than a science. I have multiple horses and have seen this decline especially among horse vets. All the good ones have retired. Before I decided to “ follow” you I clicked on your nutrition links because I knew if you recommended ultra processed kibble, I wasn’t going to trust you. Nutrition is everything, for all species. You just gained a fan.
Excellent. Congrats on the rollout. I just want to say that people should start insisting on titers, especially rabies titers since one rabies vaccine can last a lifetime. I sent one of my patients into kidney failure with rabies vaccine. Of course, the university denied that it was the vaccine. Not to mention the sarcomas that cats seem to get from those injections. This endeavor might include contacting your state or local government so that the rules can be changed. I understand the groomers insist on these things, but they’re insisting on us hurting peoples pets unknowingly. If they realized they were contributing to chronic illness in pets, maybe they would start to change their profession from the inside also.
