One of the greatest joys of my life is to watch my dog experience the world. The awe and wonder he experiences in new things, and the joy he experiences in the mundane and familiar. He's a teacher in presence and so much more.
We've had our German Shepherd/pit bull mix, Maeve, for just about a year. She's come so far from being unused to walking on a leash and being withdrawn, and learning "sit" and "touch." These things were difficult for her but she's learning. Maeve continues to amaze me every day.
